Jackson Pollock

Jackson Pollock is a very interesting artist. His color palette and
techniques are very unique. He was part of the Abstract Expressionism movement. Most of his works are paintings. Pollock said that one of his role models was Pablo Picasso. I love Pollock’s work. The colors are gorgeous. To have splatter painting your signature technique, I think, is fun and a person could never get bored. Each one is similar, but yet very different. Many might not know this, but the scale of his pieces is huge. I have no idea how he makes the pieces so big. One of the reasons why I like his work is because I feel as if it can only speak to artists. Many people will go around and look at the image and think it’s just mess, but people with different perspectives and open eyes will probably look at it differently. Overall, his work I feel is simple, but filled with emotion.
