Artist Statement

I am interested in the complexity behind simplicity. My process of creating each work consists of measurements, aesthetic design, intricate woodwork, and thorough planning. Each work delivers an ode to simplicity.

I love using wood as more than a structure. The material suits my vision and I am able to create something that reflects what I see. Each color I add creates an escape for the eye; I enjoy finding near perfect color schemes and line compositions.

In my daily life, I notice color, shape, and compositions in a broken down manner. In my mind, I take components from different parts of my life and curate them onto a clean, white surface. Art is my way to share these visions with those around me; friends and family come together just as they do every day.
