My summer work was something that I really tried on, but still believe I could have tried harder on. I was trying to do something like I did last year. I leanred what techniques and styles I'm confortable with. Painting on wood is something that I REALLY LOVE. It's different and I think thw wood can be complimented with the paint. I also realized that I like intricate art. I like detail and art that my eyes can get lost in. The summer work helped me realize that because I would draw something and decide whether or not I want that on my summer work. I also love color. I'm young and want my art to look realistic and elegant, but still fun. That is why I tried to continue with the Maija Fiebig influence. I loved her video and she is a col artist. My summer work also helped me realized that I don't have to work on such a large scale. I felt as if I was intimidated with all the space, and my art will look better if I work on a smaller scale. Doing my summer work helped me realized what to do this year.
